Welcome Weekend FAQs

When should I move in if I will be living on campus?

Students who will be living in Baylor campus housing can visit https://cll.web.baylor.edu/housing-resources/important-housing-dates to find out when they can move in to their Residence Hall. Contact Campus Living & Learning at living@baylor.edu or 254-710-3642 with any housing-related questions, or visit baylor.edu/cll to learn more about living on campus.

You'll need to have your Student ID Card in order to move in, so be sure to follow the steps below in order to get your card in time!

How will I get my Baylor Student ID Card?

Baylor is transitioning to a fully digital student ID card system. The Baylor Digital ID lives in the Wallet app on your iPhone, Apple Watch or Android device. If you are a student, who still must have a physical ID Card to access campus facilities and resources, please visit the ID Card office in the Speight Garage, Room 190. You must have a government issued ID and your Baylor ID Number to obtain a physical Baylor student ID Card. Students will nee their Baylor student ID to move into the Residence Hall.

Your Student ID Card gives you access to many services and activities on campus, and even discounts in the Waco community.

For more information regarding student ID Cards.

When do classes begin for the Spring 2026 semester?

The first day of class will be Tuesday, January 20, following the University Holiday on January 19 in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

How will I be advised and register for classes?

An academic advisor will email you about registering you for classes. Please frequently check your Baylor email account. For additional information about advising and class registration, visit Major Exploration & Success Advising.

How do I get my Baylor Line Jersey?

Welcome Weekend students who sign up to attend the Independence Trip will receive their jersey during the trip.

Can guests come to Welcome Weekend?

Absolutely! Guests are welcome to come to any of the Friday afternoon activities through dinner. After dinner, however, all events are for new students.
