Welcome Week Leaders will co-facilitate a group of approximately 20-30 new students as they start their Baylor journeys in August. Leaders encourage and support students in their transition to Baylor by modeling healthy relationships, offering wisdom from their own stories, and journeying alongside new Bears as they experience the excitement of Welcome Week. Plus, Welcome Week Leaders will now be paid $10 an hour for their service - an added bonus for making a meaningful impact!
If you're interested in walking alongside students DURING and AFTER Welcome Week, we invite you to apply for the new Welcome Mentor role! As a Welcome Mentor, you would serve in the capacity of Welcome Week Leader, but your role would not end with the closing of WW events. Instead, you would continue with the same group of new students for the first 8 weeks of the fall semester—meeting 1-on-1 with students from your group, inviting them to campus events, and overall, providing personalized support as they navigate their first weeks and find their place at Baylor. Welcome Mentors also receive hourly pay ($10/hour).
You can apply for both the Welcome Week Leader and Welcome Mentor roles within the same application. We encourage you to apply for both! Check out the position descriptions below and apply today!
