Orientation (for Students and Guests)
Orientation is a two-day program designed to help you discover the incredible opportunities and experiences that await you as a Baylor Bear. You will meet other new Bears, learn more about your chosen major, meet with academic departments, get your student ID card, and take your first steps as part of the Baylor Line! All experiences are open to new first-year and transfer students. Parents or guests are encouraged to attend the Orientation program with you.
Baylor offers Orientation sessions during the months of June and July, all of which are offered as a Combined Session with our extended orientation program called Baylor Line Camp. This allows you to attend both programs in one 5-day campus experience. Limited opportunities are also available to attend a 2-day Orientation-only Session. There is no cost to attend Orientation, and guests are encouraged to attend. The Baylor Line Camp portion of a Combined Session is just for students and requires a $125 registration fee.
Reservations are required for all Orientation + Baylor Line Camp Combined Sessions and Orientation-only Sessions, and each session is available until spaces have filled.
The anticipated start time for Orientation is 8:00am CT on Day 1. Activities conclude on Day 2 at 1:30pm. Students attending an Orientation Session combined with Baylor Line Camp will then participate in Baylor Line Camp activities for the remainder of their session.

What You Will Need to Complete Your Registration
In order to complete your registration for Orientation and Baylor Line Camp, you will have needed to pay your $500 Enrollment Deposit. It can take up to 24 hours for your deposit to process. Make sure you have set up Baylor’s DUO two-factor authentication with your student phone. You will also need your Bear ID, a credit card to submit your $125 Baylor Line Camp registration fee payment, the name you would like on the back of your Baylor Line Jersey (you can update this at a later time if you need to), and your Jersey size. Line Jerseys tend to run small, and many students prefer to select one size larger than their usual t-shirt size.
NOTE: Please make sure you have confirmed your session dates prior to making flight or lodging reservations.
Summer Dates will be Available Fall 2024
What if I am not able to attend an in-person Orientation?
Students are highly encouraged to attend an in-person Orientation + Baylor Line Camp Combined Session or Orientation-only Session. However, we recognize that special circumstances might make it especially difficult for some students to travel to Baylor's campus in the summer. There will be a Virtual Orientation option for students who are unable to attend an in-person Orientation. Virtual Orientation will launch mid-July and will feature video content that you can access at your convenience. Students can submit a request to complete their Orientation virtually.
