Transfer Welcome Week

Come Together. Begin Together.

Transfer Welcome Week is the official beginning of your experience as a Baylor Bear, when all new students join together in the days leading up to the fall semester. Welcome Week will provide opportunities for friendships, connection to Baylor and the Waco community, and an exciting start to your Baylor story! This summer we will provide more information about your Welcome Week experience.

Thursday, August 17 - Sunday, August 20, 2023

Getting Ready for Welcome Week!

Do I need to sign up for Welcome Week?

Nope! All entering students are placed in a small group, so there is no registration needed in order to participate.

How do I find out what small group I am in?

You'll learn more about your small group--including information about your group leaders and your group number--just before Welcome Week begins. Welcome Week uses a free personalized mobile app called Raftr as your one-stop-shop for all things Welcome Week! Raftr will include the full program schedule, as well as connect you with your Welcome Week Small Group.

You will also receive additional information about Welcome Week when you check in to your residence hall for Move-in.

What do I need to know about Move-in?

Check out the Move-In website for great details about this year's Move2BU experience. Contact the Campus Living & Learning Office for any questions you may have. You can also find personalized information in your MyHousing Portal.

Should my family come with me to Welcome Week?

Parents and other guests are invited to attend the Baylor Family Picnic event at 5:30pm on Thursday, August 18. You can find more information about the Picnic below.

Immediately following the Picnic, students and guests will say their goodbyes and students will transition into Welcome Week activities. All activities following the Picnic are just for students.
